One of the highlights of President Ruto's visit was the commissioning of the Mageta Island Solar Grid in Bondo. This green energy project is set to enhance access to clean and reliable power for over 1,400 households, significantly improving the quality of life for residents. The president emphasized the project's importance in tackling frequent electricity blackouts that have plagued the area.

"In Mageta, Bondo constituency, we commissioned the Mageta Island Solar Grid, which will power 1,400 households, support fish trading by powering cold rooms, and improve public service delivery in hospitals and schools," President Ruto shared on his X handle, underscoring the project's broad impact.

Beyond the solar grid, Ruto's tour included meet-the-people sessions, where he engaged with locals and discussed their needs and aspirations. The president's visit has been seen as a strategic move to consolidate support in a region that has traditionally been under opposition influence, signaling a new era of cooperation and development.

As President Ruto's tour concludes, the residents of Luo Nyanza are left with a renewed sense of hope, bolstered by the promise of ongoing development and enhanced public services.
