Police Officer Fatally Stabbed in Nairobi After Kalenjin Night Event in Embakasi

A tragic incident unfolded in the early hours of Saturday morning in Embakasi, Nairobi, when a police officer was brutally stabbed to death following an altercation during a Kalenjin Night event. The victim, Constable Nicholas Koech, 30, was attached to Jogoo House, the police headquarters in Nairobi.
The fatal stabbing occurred at around 4:50 a.m. in the parking lot of a bar where the event was held. According to a police report seen by Kenyans.co.ke, Koech’s body was discovered lying in a pool of blood with a deep stab wound on the right side of his neck. The officer's lifeless body was later transported to Mama Lucy Hospital mortuary, where it awaits a post-mortem examination.
The altercation reportedly began as a commotion among revelers who were leaving the bar. The bar’s manager quickly alerted the authorities, and officers rushed to the scene, where they found Koech’s body and secured the area for further investigation.
The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) in Embakasi has taken over the case, and detectives are now working tirelessly to track down those responsible for the officer's death. The suspects fled the scene before police arrived, and authorities are following leads to apprehend the culprits involved in this tragic and senseless act of violence.
The incident has sent shockwaves through the local community and the law enforcement fraternity, sparking an outpouring of grief and a call for swift justice.
