Mystery Deepens as More Mutilated Bodies Found in Mukuru kwa Njenga

The gruesome discovery of mutilated bodies in the Mukuru kwa Njenga slums has taken a darker turn as more sacks containing polythene-wrapped bodies were retrieved for the second consecutive day. The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), along with a specialized homicide team and the elite Recce squad, are conducting a thorough search at the Kware dumpsite.

Human rights groups reported that the number of bodies found has now risen to over nine, while police maintain the count at six. The retrieval process has drawn large crowds of local residents, many of whom are horrified by the sight of bodies wrapped and tied in a similar manner, suggesting a pattern that points to the same perpetrators.

DCI boss Mohamed Amin confirmed that homicide detectives are analyzing samples from the scene to identify the victims. Witnesses who spoke to the media noted that the bodies shared a similar state of decomposition, estimated to be one to two weeks old. This will be confirmed through post-mortem examinations at the City Mortuary.

The investigation continues as authorities seek to uncover the identities of the victims and the perpetrators behind these brutal acts, bringing much-needed answers to a community in shock.
