Machakos Governor Wavinya Ndeti Criticizes ODM's Nominations in Ruto's Cabinet.

Machakos Governor Wavinya Ndeti expressed her dissatisfaction with the recent cabinet nominations by President William Ruto, which prominently feature leaders from the ODM party. Ndeti voiced her concerns over the exclusion of other coalition leaders, a move that has sparked widespread backlash among Kenyans, who accuse Azimio leader Raila Odinga of neglecting the broader coalition in favor of his party.

"The opposition and ruling parties are like two irons that continuously sharpen each other for the benefit of the people. In the government, there has to be opposition to keep the government in check," Ndeti remarked.

She emphasized the crucial role of a balanced opposition in ensuring the government's accountability and effectiveness.

Many Kenyans took to social media to vent their frustrations, criticizing Raila Odinga for what they see as a betrayal of the coalition's principles. This controversy has intensified discussions on the need for a more inclusive approach to governance within the coalition.

Ndeti assured her supporters that the Wiper party would remain steadfast in its opposition mandates, highlighting their commitment to holding the government accountable. "We will not waver in our responsibility to ensure that the government serves the people effectively and transparently," she affirmed.

The debate over the cabinet nominations continues to fuel political discourse, with many calling for a reassessment of the coalition's strategies to ensure a more equitable representation of all its members.
