Bungoma disown their own Miss tourism delegate 2016.

​Confusion has ensued in Bungoma over who is representing the county as Miss Tourism after the county government came out to deny a woman currently purporting to be holding the title. The county’s tourism and environment office released a statement stating that a woman by the name Catherine “Cate” Sabina was not its Miss Tourism, after the lady appeared on KTN’s Friday Briefing show wearing the crown.

“We did not hold any competitions for Miss Tourism 2016 in Bungoma County. Any candidate purporting to be representing Bungoma County as its Miss Tourism is an imposter as she is participating without the knowledge and authority of the county government,” a part of the statement signed by the county’s Tourism and Environment officer Martin Talian read. The officer went ahead to warn the Miss Tourism Kenya organisation that the county government would not be held liable in anyway, as it wasn’t participating in the beauty contest.
