BREAKING: NINE DEAD AFTER A BUS PLUNGES INTO RIVER MBAGATHI IN GATAKA

Nine people are confirmed dead after a Nairobi bound bus plunges into Mbagathi River in Gataka area of Karen in Nairobi on Saturday.

The driver of the Bus belonging to Naboka Sacco was among the fatalities. The journey to Nairobi was cut short when the bus lost control as the driver had nothing to do but to veer off road. The police stated that the driver lost control of the bus after the breaks failed.

Six people died on the spot while three others died while undergoing treatment. Nineteen others sustained injuries with 14 being rushed to Karen Hospital with three of them being in critical condition. Police and rescue teams are currently at the scene retrieving the victims from the river.
